Swapna Mishra anchoring the Global Curriculum Development for Telecentre Managers's (Kiosk Operators) Training
This is a global initiative of about 15 countries where Telecentre networks are growing and so is the need for training the Kiosk Operators or the Telecentre Managers. A common minimum agenda of training has been designed in terms of 12 Core Modules and 5 (the numbers would grow) Advanced Modules for a Diploma as well as Certificate Course. This course at two levels of proficiency is supposaed to be launched in 2010 in phases, starting April. Swapna Mishra is representing Drishtee in this initiative where we are contributing with our experience and learning how the training program should be approached and what should be the best possible content made available for the new range of Kiosk Operators (Telecentre Managers). The program is based on the blended learning pattern where - an Online versoin is being uploaded on a learning management system (LMS) called BrainHoney, while also the print versions to be rolled out for the offline trainees. The Certificate as well as Diploma course is being launched in close coordiantion and acxcredition of the Universities world-wide, including IGNOU in India, which in fact is hosting the Telecentre.org Academy now.
